He-Man and the Masters of the Universe "The Eternian War"

Fnally decided to open my Castle Grayskull by Mattel and boy it's one huge playset. I just hoped that Mattel could have made it much taller but, it was worth my hard-earned moolah (that and I'm a huge MOTU fan). So, I have a castle, but no base. I spent an entire week just to finish the base and accepted my friends' challenge to try and submit it to Matty for MOTU Cover Contest.

The inspiration is the great Eternian War. Where He-Man and She-Ra joined forces to defeat Skeletor and Hordak. Even the Snake Men has joined the Masters of the Universe to thwart King Hsss once and for all.

The War Has Begun.
I wanted to highlight what's going up there so I focused on He-Man, Skeletor and the castle.

Not really a CS expert so don't mind the little fiasco on the background. Still, end of the day, happy with the shot. :)

More shots soon. :)

Prepare the boys, Evil-Lyn

I made Skeletor's throne room using an old box, covered it with dailies before painting with acrylic. The throne is made of styro then added some skulls from a bracelet I found at home. :)

Mattel did a fantastic job bringing back these MOTU action figures!

Your madness ends today, Skeletor!

I remember watching the series way way back. Had the original toy line, but over the years, after moving from one house to another, we lost our toys. Enter Masters of the Universe Classics or simply MOTUC by Mattel. I have been burning my moolah with these fine looking figures for 2 years now. What I really love about this line is the articulation and that made it easier for me to recreate some scenes from the original TV series. :)

I made the diorama using styro, old dailies, barbeque sticks and acrylic paint. Added the lens flare and dust effects using Photoshop.

Out of my way, Fur-Face

Hello, everyone!

This blog will contain all of my original toy shots, diorama and I will also let you in on some behind-the-scenes. I will also provide tutorials and links that will help you with your shots.

I have started taking pictures of my toys 4 years ago and I still consider myself in the learning stage. I love Mattel's Masters of the Universe Classics and DC Universe. And I dream of taking official Mattel shots or working in a toy company taking pictures and creating promotional diorama. :)

My first post is aptly titled "Out of my way, Fur-face!" I have created the diorama using styrofoam, old dailies and acrylic paint. I used a string (which I will show you soon) to achieve the action scene. This image won in an online contest: http://www.actionfigurefury.com/wall-of-fame/.
